YesIn your judgment, which crops/agricultural purposes are best suited to your land and which would you support on your land?
Vegetable, Fruit/Orchard, OtherPlease elaborate on the crops/agricultural purposes that are best suited to your land:
Seed production has been an integral part of the farm. Please summarize your long-term goals regarding your land:
The farm has been certified organic for 26 years. The soil has been well respected. well rotated, and cover cropped and improved at every opportunity. It is well-located (7 miles from town) for marketing farm products. which also makes it ripe for development. The importance of maintaining good farmland can not be more important. My plan is for it to continue to be farmed and continue to be certified organic. I am hoping to put a conservation easement on the land and have already been in contact with the local Land Trust. If you are interested in purchasing this land, we can work the with land trust to facilitate that process. What kind of additional training/information would help you with the transfer process? Please check all that apply and feel free to elaborate below.
