Briefly describe your current occupation(s) and responsibilities and list previous agricultural employment and experiences. If you are currently farming or ranching, please state the size, type(s), and location of the operation.I have worked 6 years on organic farms, and 2 years before that doing general landscaping. I studied botany and herbalism in North Carolina and have run my own herbal business on the side while working for a farm, growing my own herbs and selling at farmers market. I managed the greenhouse production and the field/crew of a 70 acre diverse vegetable farm for 5 years. I spent one year doing an internship on a 10 acre vegetable farm in North Carolina. My partner and I recently moved to the Missoula area due to his enrollment in a graduate program at UM. I am eager to get some land to further my herbal business, and begin my journey toward starting a vegetable farm. We are looking to buy, and are finding almost nothing. Especially, nothing that can be financed. I am open to leasing as well, preferably somewhere with a house.
