Briefly describe your current occupation(s) and responsibilities and list previous agricultural employment and experiences. If you are currently farming or ranching, please state the size, type(s), and location of the operation.I currently am a diesel mechanic. I started working for a local Dairy farm when I was 16 and worked there for 5 years, farmed 900 acres, milked 250 cows. I acted as assistant herds man and did field work planting and harvesting. I moved on from there to a beef lot. We had 1500 head under roof year round and farmed 3000 acres. I worked with cattle and also did field work planting/ harvesting. I left the beef operation for an opportunity to be a full time herdsman on a Dairy where we milked 300 and had 800 total head(young stock-calves to breeding age heifers, also had a steer finishing facility. After marrying my wife and having a baby I decided I would try a new career where I could be home more and have a more steady schedule. After leaving the farm there was not much happiness in the new line of work and was not anymore home/family time than before. Leaving the farm and trying a new career made me realize how much I wanted to be back on farm and continue the life my wife and I really did love, and believe it would be best for the family to return back to what we loved to do and be around.
