Please elaborate on the type(s) of agricultural operation you plan on running. We would like to have a cow/calve Bison(Buffalo) operation with possibly a option of a small raspberry crop. We would like to be able to have irrigated grass meadows to hay for feed and enough land to graze Bison on in the summer. We are looking for a great place to raise our 7 kids and teach them the importance of Ranching and Farming and the importance of taking care of the land and our natural resources.
Transition ArrangementsBuy/Sell, Lease, Open to other arrangements
If you are interested in another type of business arrangement, please explainWe would be Interested in leasing at least 50 acres to put 20 head on to get started. This would allow us to get the remaining two years the USDA want us to have in a managment position. At that point we would qualify for the first time Ranch/Farm loan and can purchase the property we need to expand.
Please elaborate on the kind of additional training/information that would help you:Figuring out the best loan and operating loan to get started. Also, the best practices for Bison and the ins and outs of marking to get the best possible price for our Bison.
