I recently finished a season working as a range technician (fuels) for the BLM in Boise, ID. Currently seeking a house with land to start a small-scale farm with quality, hand-crafted products. My previous agricultural experience includes:

- Farm hand: Willow Creek Nursery, Fairfield, ID, 2016
- BS Biology (focus in agricultural (specifically soil) sciences): Colorado Mesa University, Grand Junction, CO, Graduated w/honors 2016
- Relevant courses include: microbiology, veg. & herb production, greenhouse design/building
- Farm hand: Green Junction Farmstead, Grand Junction, CO, Spring 2016
- Farm hand: University vegetable farm, Grand Junction, CO, Spring 2016
- Farm hand: Permaculture farm, Vilcabamba, Ecuador, Summer 2015

My wife also has agricultural experience having worked with me at both Green Junction Farmstead and Willow Creek Nursery. Her experience is more on the marketing side of things. We plan on combining our talents of growing and marketing to create a sustainable business and farm.

Farming Practices

Please elaborate on the type(s) of agricultural operation you plan on running.

We plan on producing a diverse array of crops including gourmet fungi, medicinal herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Our operation will focus on the production of natural medicines and supplements from highly selective oils and mushrooms. We would also love to try making ciders and craft beer from farm grown fruits and hops. A goal of ours is to improve the soil which we farm, minimize inputs, and maximize output. We plan on using low impact organic techniques, following as many sustainable practices as possible. In the future, I would love to work with universities and conservation groups to work on soil improvement projects on private and public lands.
