Briefly describe your current occupation(s) and responsibilities and list previous agricultural employment and experiences. If you are currently farming or ranching, please state the size, type(s), and location of the operation. Currently employed at Five Springs Farm where we do native permaculture landscaping as well as general landscaping from patio's to brick work. I'm also employed at Glasshouse Works where we specialize in exotic plants, where I manage several tropical greenhouses and hardy cold frames. My background in agriculture has grown in the past 3 years immensely, and I now have an Associates degree in Agriculture Ecology. I manage a small family owned and operated regenerative farm in Southeastern Ohio by the name Moxahala Micro Farm, where we operate on around 5 acres for vegetables, fruits, forest products and herbs. We ran our second CSA this year for 7 months, and attended our local farmers market throughout the summer.

Please elaborate on the type(s) of agricultural operation you plan on running.I plan on starting small to get an understand of the soil types and climate. In most cases something like two dozen laying hen's and a market garden would be the right idea to provide produce and eggs for the local farmers market. I have most experience in greenhouses and fruit/orchard, but in the future I plan to raise my own sheep and goat for meat along with dairy cows for our own homesteading needs, and would be interested in a herd share with my community members.
Elaborate on the farming practices you plan on using.I'm interested in Biodynamics where using a holistic approach to farming allows for integrated pest management, and less consumption of time on inputs that can degrade soil biology and structure over time. Biodynamics make for healthier soils and more lively ecosystem's that can then fend for themselves while relying on all the parts to be successful. Regenerative agriculture is a lot in the same sense working with the ecosystem to produce a good without relying on any harmful inputs making the cycle of agriculture much more biologically driven. What comes out of the soil must go back into the soil. Composting/Amending is a huge role that I would like to implore on the land to help get the soils back to their stable chemically balanced structure, giving us the advantage of health in a foreign landscape.
