Briefly describe your current occupation(s) and responsibilities and list previous agricultural employment and experiences. If you are currently farming or ranching, please state the size, type(s), and location of the operation.Bianca was born and raised in northeast Pennsylvania. She cherishes her early childhood memories helping her grandfather in his 1/4 acre vegetable garden. She then started farming during college to better understand our food system. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Horticulture she continued farming, working primarily with Organic vegetable row crops, but also with chickens, perennial fruits, honeybees, and industrial hemp. Her experience includes soil/plant nutritional analysis, IPM, and data collection.
Ethan grew up working on his aunt and uncles grain and tobacco farm, which he still is actively engaged in discussing their current farming practices and what is happening in the industry. He has also helped establish operation of a large hemp farm in Central New York, including machinery operation, fertigation management, and custom equipment fabrication.
Bianca is currently working on an IPM management plan at a local hemp and vegetable farm that spans 15 acres. Ethan is currently working as a University Wood and Metal Shop technician teaching art and design students how to use fabrication equipment.
