Summer 2024: Open Field Tours
This summer, CFAC’s Farm Link Montana program is hosting three land tours to help interested landowners and beginning farmers meet on common ground and learn about potential sites, leasing arrangements, and site assessment. If you are a landowner interested in what it takes to make your land available for a beginning farmer and want to meet and network with farmers in your area, we hope you will join us! If you are a farmer seeking land, these tours offer you a chance to see available land and learn about site assessment and lease negotiation, as well as network with landowners.
Our ‘Open Fields’ Tours aim to mimic an ‘Open House’ event (but on farms!), giving beginning farmers and landowners a chance to network and tour available properties together to learn more about lease negotiation and site assessment.
