Working in oilfield presently. Grew up on a small family grain farm and cattle ranch in southwest Montana. Currently own small bunch of cows. Looking to expand on my own as the family farm/ranch will not be able to be passed on to the third generation(myself.) I have a wife and two young kids that I would like to give the same life that I had growing up. I am not not able to do that were I am currently located in southwest Montana with current rental and land prices in the area. I do have some equipment such as stock trailer, flatbed trailer, welders, and skidsteer and attachments.

Please elaborate on the type(s) of agricultural operation you plan on running.

I am very knowledgeable about current farming practices and equipment. In high school I was a three time national qualifier for range science and agronomy with the FFA. I would like to continue small grains, pulses, and cover crops.

Elaborate on the farming practices you plan on using.

I would like to implement a no till or minimal till along with newer crop varieties while implementing grazing or cover cropping into a small grain operation that may have been previously a chem fallow operation.
Using new technology from gps to improve bottom lines and profitability.

Having been through a family farm dispersion and separation, along with first hand experience in financial and daily tasks of operation I can provide a different perspective or solution to problems from an outside unbiased perspective. I am able to turn wrenches, build fence, proficient in modern equipment with gps.
