Please elaborate on your willingness to mentor or advise the entering farmer or rancher:We operated the property for over 20 years so I would be a good resource for understanding the property, what to watch for and past experiences. I do not live there 365 but visit once a month. I am happy to go over budgets/grazing plans and operations but only if the Lessee wants that.
In your judgment, which crops/agricultural purposes are best suited to your land and which would you support on your land?Hay & Forage, Large Animal (cattle, sheep, goats), Small Animal (pigs, rabbits, poultry)
Please summarize your long-term goals regarding your land:We value improving the health of the soil and life above and below the ground as the foundation to increasing forage and livestock performance. We value managing the ranch holistically with as few grazing herds as possible to achieve high density impact for short duration and allow for long forage recovery time. We value our irrigation as a valuable tool to help accomplish regenerating the land. We value long term planning and decision making.
