Manager at Four Season Farm (2023)

Small scale market gardening at its finest. Learning and working with Eliot Coleman, the author of many farming texts including “New Organic Grower”. Directly managed by Clara Coleman. Performing many farming tasks including; plant house, wash pack, harvesting, tractor cultivation, crop planning etc.

Taking on full management responsibilities. All tractor operation, seed ordering, parts ordering, troubleshooting, production goals, wwoof recruiting/management and organic certification inspection. We grew Calendula, Comfrey, Mint, Lemonbalm as well as a mix of other herbs for Moon Valley Organics value added products. This included processing the herbs through a drying process. Moon Valley Organics also houses a small apiary of 38 beehives, and a small orchard. Both of which the farmers were also responsible for managing.
Between my assistant manager and I, we were also tasked with managing a large crew of wwoofers for most of the season.
