I have over 7 years experience in vet med working with large and small animals. I have owned/raised cattle, horses, sheep and goats. I currently run a flock of 50 registered Katahdin hair sheep which I began putting together in 2016 when I sold my wool flock. I currently work part-time at a veterinary clinic as well as the local sale barn while raising my 3 boys.

Please elaborate on the type(s) of agricultural operation you plan on running.

I would like to relocate to Montana with my flock of Katahdins and continue expanding. I currently sell mostly market lambs and some breeding stock each year. In the future I would like to focus more on being a seed stock operation. My oldest son has taken an interest in showing, so we are exploring that side of the industry as well with this past year being his first year showing in the All American Junior Show.
I currently own a sheep handling system, lambing pens, feed bunks/feeders, a skidsteer and various other sheep equipment that I would be bringing with.

Elaborate on the farming practices you plan on using.

I currently utilize electric fencing to rotational graze and would like to continue this practice, though if necessary I would also consider converting to a dry lot operation. Optimally I would like to expand my knowledge of sustainable/regenerative ag practices.
