Briefly describe your current occupation(s) and responsibilities and list previous agricultural employment and experiences. If you are currently farming or ranching, please state the size, type(s), and location of the operation.

I'm graduating in March with my Bachelor's in Agricultural Sciences from Oregon State University. I've been involved in a wide range of agriculture-related jobs and experiences throughout college.

I worked for OSU's greenhouse for two terms and learned how to effectively maintain greenhouses and their HVAC systems. Also learned about the importance of pest and disease control (biosecurity).

I worked for OSU's Oak Creek Center for Urban Horticulture for two years and learned how to operate mowers, tractors, power tools, etc. I took Professor Shay's landscaping course which taught the correct way to prune trees and other plants. I will be TAing for that class in the winter.

I worked for Sankaty Head Golf Course this summer as an intern and learned about turfgrass management, along with mower operation. I learned how to operate a wide array of power tools as well.

Please elaborate on the type(s) of agricultural operation you plan on running.

I have a passion for all things outdoors! But I am especially interested in poultry, other animals, and fruit trees/bushes. I do not have my heart set on any specific kind of agricultural operation; I just love to be outside, doing hard work!

Elaborate on the farming practices you plan on using.

The kind of farming practices would obviously depend on the kind of operation and what is currently being done. I like the idea of regenerative agriculture and prefer not to use harsh pesticides/herbicides unless absolutely necessary (and they usually aren't!)

If you are interested in another type of business arrangement, please explain

I am open to discussing other kinds of arrangements, but ultimately I am looking to own and operate my own farm.
