I recently came back home to Ravalli County after a 15 year as an educator out of state. I grew up on a hobby farm where we raised butcher steers, pigs, chickens, hay and maintained the McIntosh apple trees on the property. I am currently finishing up a seasonal job on Winter Kissed Farms. I would like more farming opportunities and in step work towards creating my own orchard, berry and fruit farm. I am hoping to using freezing and canning techniques to help extend the profit of the items grown on the farm. I also have asperations of making sure we continue to have specimens in the valley from the historic McIntosh apples planted in the valley. In creating this vision LEAN practices would be put into place along with providing educational opportunities to schools and the surrounding community.

In creating this vision LEAN practices would be put into place along with providing educational opportunities to schools and the surrounding community. Organic fruit is very important as well as sustainable practices. Finding a working relation between nature and the desired products, I am completely against monoculture operations. Soil and farm health will be a priority.
